HOW TO PREPARE FOR UPSC CIVIL SERVICES PRELIMS IN 3 MONTHS

How to prepare for upsc civil services  prelims in 3 months. 

Here i am mentioning only the important books which are very helpful to clear prelims..
The main thing that should always remember is to saty patient, consistent and follow the perfect schedule regularly before you start  preparation.
Is it really possible to clear prelims with 3 months of preparation...? The answer is yes.. If you dedicate 8 hours a day and do good revision then definetly it is possible.. And one more thing to remember before starting the preparation is to make sure that u have atleat 2 months for the REVISION PART. that means one must have to complete the syllabus before two months to the exam.. Most of the students fail to get through the prelims even though they are preparing from 6 months or one year,  because they are not going through the very important part of preparation that is REVISION.. so remember guys make sure that you have two months for the revision and solve as many papers as u can.. U have exactly 6 months from today to exam.. So don't postpone just start now.. Take some previous papers, if you observe 10 % of questions you can easily answer without any preparation and 40% of the questions are already known to you in related with news or some where in other books which u already red.. You feel like you red some thing regarding the question some where but not able to recollect the answer.. So 50% of the  questions are familiar to you.. Upsc asks 5 to 10 most basic questions.. So be strong with basics 1st and then concentrate on authentic books..

BASIC Books and general analysis. 

1 - CURRENT AFFAIRS ARE VERY IMPORTANT, They even cover international relations, economy, and also general knowledge,
So daily follow a news paper most recommended is THE HINDU. if u want to save your time then read the news in vision Ias or Ias baba or unacadamy website in those websites they only provide the current affairs in upsc orientation INSIGHTS  is one of the good source for  BOTH materials and current affairs, you can follow any one of these sites.. Even they provide monthly edition for current affairs.. But it is better to read daily.  U can also watch hindu newspaper analysis and explination in youtube every day, current affairs by sha. Choose according to your time anyone of them. It will take 2 hours initially to read the important topics of the newspaper but by time u can complete the topics editorial with in 1 hour.. Remember guys current affairs is important for both mains and prelims. And easy writing also. In 2016 prelims 15 questions are directly from current affairs.. So don't neglect it..

2. Polity

Book -  lakshmi kanth edition 5..  Read this book for Atleast 3 times before your exam..  I mentioned 3 times because Everytime u read you will find a new point.. Must read the important articles, powers, supreme court, powers, rights, important cases, etc.. Once check previous questions so that you know how the questions are given.. And try to frame as many questions as possible.. Try to remember the concept And logic.. The questions given from this subject is most tricky than others.. One has more chance to choose the wrong answer in this subject.. Get the syllabus paper and read according to it.. Try to solve questions chapter wise. Chapter wise question bank book along with answers is available in market.. Buy one and solve it. For strong basics ncrt books from 6 to 12th. 

3.ECONOMY- 

For strong basics u have to read 10th 11th and 12 th ncrt books. And Sri ram's Ias Academy economy material.. Most part of economy is asked related with current affairs, so u must have to go through the ECONOMIC SURVEY OF INDIA. you have less time so go with the book which contains important topics and brief part which will be release into market after one month of release of economic survey of india. Try to read most part of economy related to current affairs.

4.GEOGRAPHY

THE most important books for geography is ncert books from class 6 to 12th no question from geography will come out of these books.. So concentrate more on ncert. In recent times upsc asking more related to map pointing.. See the previous years questions so that you can understand how to do the map pointing in the prelims orientation. One more basic book for geography is CERTIFICATE PHYSICAL AND HUMAN GEOGRAPHY gohchengleong. In geography concentrate more or maps, and ncrte books..

5 HISTORY

1st of all concentrate more on 10 TH 11, 12 TH STANDERD OLD NCRET BOOKS.. These books are enough for the prelims regarding history.  If time permits you then read the Book SPECTRUM for modern India by raju ahir ips. Don't waste more time on ancient part.. Concentrate more time on modern part of history.. Most of the questions will ask from modern history..

6.ART AND CULTURE.

 the most important book is art and culture by NITHIN SINGANIA. One can easily complete this book with in 4 days of continue reading and pocket atleat 4 marks that means 2 questions. So don't neglect this book..

7.ECOLOGY 

for ecology the most recommended book is ECOLOGY BY SHANKAR IAS, in this book you have the information of all important protocols, summits, regarding ecological changes, agreements etc.. One must have to read this book. Now a days the climate change is burning aspect.. So there are so many chances to have 1 to 5 questions regarding this topic.

8. INDIA YEAR BOOK.

READ 1 CHAPTER PER DAY AND SOLVE AS MANY QUESTIONS AS YOU CAN.

9 SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

For science and technology current affairs is very important.. If you cover current affairs and India year book then you can solve the questions regarding science and technology.. And if u have more time then read any book related to science and technology which is in civils orientation.. 

 Some other books are notes of seniah history, vajiram materials, ignou materials, etc 

  The above mentioned books are the basic and most important books for upsc prelims.. If you complete those books with proper revision and solve as many questions as you can then definetly you can Crack the prelims exam in 3 months.

Note - make sure that u have 2 months of time before the exam to solve atleat 30 grand tests and for revision PART.
